Well did you hear, there’s a natural order. Those most deserving will end up with the most. That the cream cannot help but always rise up to the top, Well I say: Shit floats. If you thought things had changed, Friend you’d better think again, Bluntly put in the fewest of words, Cunts are still running the world, Cunts are still running the world.
Now the working classes are obsolete, They are surplus to societies needs, So let ‘em all kill each other, And get it made overseas. That’s the word don’t you know, From the guys thats running the show, Lets be perfectly clear boys and girls, Cunts are still running the world, Cunts are still running the world.
Oh feed your children on Cray fish and Lobster tails, Find a school near the top of the league, In theory I respect your right to exist, I will kill ya if you move in next to me, Ah it stinks, it sucks, it’s anthropologically unjust, But the takings are up by a third, Oh So Cunts are still running the world, Cunts are still running the world.
Your free market is perfectly natural, Or do you think that I’m some kind of dummy, It’s the ideal way to order the world, Fuck the morals, does it make any money? And if you don’t like it? Then leave. Or use your right to protest on the street, Yeah, use your rights but don’t imagine that it’s heard, Oh no no, Cunts are still running the world, Cunts are still running the world.

I was a troubled teen Who put an advert in a magazine To the annoyance of my imaginary lover She's doubted my philosophy And this is what she said to me She said oh, you, you're green You don't know what love means Oh let me tell you Tickles you pink, oh yeah But it likes to hear you scream Fire and damnation, lamentations For the likes of you When she goes, just let her go If she says she's going Just make sure she goes Make sure she goes I was a troubled teen Untroubled only in my daydreams To the annoyance of somebody another Questioned my integrity And this is what they said to me Oh, you, you'll soon be up where you belong But it's only blood from broken hearts that writes the words to every song Oh a beatific smile For the fawners and the servants Oh but I, only I, only I I can see the serpents Oh, you, you're green You don't know what love means Well let me tell you It tickles you pink, oh yeah But it likes to hear you scream Fire and damnation, lamentations For the likes of you When she goes, just let her go If she says she's going Just make sure she goes, make sure she goes When she goes You just let her go If she says she's going Make sure she goes, make sure she goes

1. Major/minor irration/annoyance/emotional endangerment on wavering tangents.. Yes, I'm talking about you and whoever else.
2. Wow, I don't know concert dress etiquette, so I fail at life. However, I do know the sort of discernment I bother myself with.

I'm sitting outside the Library@Esplanade waiting for it to open in about 32 minutes or so. I'm supposed to be in school, but I detest the idea of having to participate in mindless games meant to stimulate revelry among students. I wonder when they'll realise that not everyone is capable or keen when it comes to reducing themselves to doltish sheep. I'd rather shake hands and make witty conversation, thank you very much.

"You guys should go back to when you actually wrote about worthwhile things instead of being colossal wastes." -Anonymous comment on the RS Online blog. Probably the truest thing anyone has said about the magazine in ages.

| BIRTHDAY RESOLUTIONS |

It didn't occur to me that prior to the day, I was actually planning to post this on my birthday because I was busy wallowing in self-pity for having to nurse a fever, so here it is. Now that I'm 18, I should start saving money, start trying to make money (when time permits) and start going to all the Souwax/Peaches type gigs at above-18 places (which is probably where the money will go to). Everything will probably improve/deteriorate/manifest itself on fate's own accord. Not that I believe in fate, it's just a convenient term to throw around when you're trying to say you're going to let life/blame what life has been like on chance. Okay, that's all I can think of now. School starts next Thursday! ARGHH ORIENTATION.

When everything is difficult in varying ways

I am not preoccupied. I'm just taking the chance to be observant. We're too different. I'm watching karma play games that seem to be working against you.. and you're still the same person you were in the beginning.
But because of those three words, I am still, as always, apologetic.

And as the systemic omnipresent trait of capitalism goes, time is money, money is sacred and all-important, hence give minimal, cost-effective amounts of time to kids finding their way about life and all its mysteries. If they fail, we'll just whip out the old book of convenient adages(which neoliberalism has christened completely rational in all aspects) and flip to the "Failure 101" section, and simply proclaim life to be such.
I had one chance, and I did all but do it justice. But make no mistake, I am not delusioned by the universal deception of sympathy, and reserve that I am fully aware of its nonexistent relation to to practical norms. I'm just thinking within tangents of a very tolerant livejournal.

It's been pretty long since I last said anything proper here.. Blame the exams, school, the lack of exams and school (hence lack of direction), semi-hardcore party nights (and I really mean semi) and prepping for gigs. I'm not saying not being in school is making life miserable, rather, adapting to life without school after devoting somewhere between 3 to 4 months to the lugubrious pursuit of a Good Score For The O Levels, which include staying home and trying my best to resist distraction, has left a habitual impression on my lifestyle. Therefore, it goes without saying that my almost clumsy and sudden post-exam liberation has left me feeling more than a little... lost.
The result? Loads of free time, sans schedules to follow, ridiculously early morning rituals to obey, archaic bits of knowledge to commit to memory, etc, thus providing little 'incentive' to enjoy the 'distractions' I not so long ago found myself madly craving for. Movies credible critics helmed as "easily the movie of the year" or "must-watch" didn't seem to provide similar desperation to watch it did a week ago. The same went the pile of books I vehemently swore I'd read had suddenly lost my vote of... vehemence. Midnight In The Garden Of Good And Evil didn't seem so interesting anymore. I found I didn't really need to know why the eventual successful of cohesion in society rested in the proverbial End Of Faith. And how fucking utilitarian is Freakonomics, really?
I do not know how many of you feel or felt this way post-O Levels, and to be honest with you, it scares me to think that the functionalist litmust test and all its manifestations actually provided me with solace. Is it me or was I enjoying conformity and all its glorious *cough* trappings for awhile? Is rote-learning really more gratifying than getting lost in the jangly reverberative sounds of Camera Obscura? Is securing a place in a capitalist-run Future more interesting than the metaphorical explorations in Moon Palace? Am I finally seeing the light the Lee institutional agenda and the great holdings of Temasek have been trying to show me for the last 17 years? Fuck, no.
All it took was quiet nights out with the girlfriend and friends, belting out Bon Jovi (I was drunk. Read on please.) and songs from Up The Bracket in drunken stupors (you see? I haven't gone hair metal at all.) doing my 'listening homework' (Muse, The Hong Kong, Dirty On Purpose, Special Needs and other assorted hipsteresque namecheck-worthy bands), perusing through pages of magazines of favourable content, and eventually picking up Freakonomics to read on lethargic afternoons and lonely 3 AM periods to have me feeling whole again.
So hello, December!
Chenquieh.
